Blanes is a beautiful coastal town situated on the Costa Brava between Barcelona (70km) and France (100km). A traditional fishermen´s town boasting 4km of beaches, a beautiful botanical garden, a famous harbour and plenty of history and character, it really is one of the gems of the Costa Brava coastline. From local traditional restaurants/bars to the Concurs de Focs d'Artifici (the international fireworks competition at the end of every July), there is really something for everyone in this sleepy Catalan community.
